Adoption Facts
In March, 1992, the Gladney Center for Adoption's first internationally adopted child came home to the United States from Shanghai, China. Since then, Gladney has placed over 1,500 children from Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America into forever homes.
On February 29, 2008, The Council on Accreditation confirmed that Gladney Center for Adoption is in Substantial Compliance with the provisions of Title 22 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 96 and is Hague Accredited to provide adoption services in connection with adoptions under The Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption.
The Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption (the Convention) entered into force for the United States on April 1, 2008.
