China Adoption

In March, 1994, the Gladney Center for Adoption's first internationally adopted child came home to the United States from Shanghai, China. Since that time, Gladney has placed more than 1,100 healthy infants and toddlers with families living in the United States. Over the past several years, adoption from China has emerged as an effective way to make or grow a family.

China's adoption program is formalized and stable. Thousands of children are available with a variety of medical needs, ranging from mild to severe, correctable and non-correctable. Older, healthy children are also available for adoption. China's program is an option for prospective parents in a wide range of age groups.
