SocialWork@Simmons created an infographic illustrating the harsh realities of the foster care system in the U.S. According to the 2010 Census, 402,378 children are living in the foster care system whereas only 101,840 are actually available for adoption.  If you would like to find out more about adopting a child from the Texas, Oklahoma, or Arkansas foster care system, please check out Gladney's New Beginnings Adoption Program

Adoption in the Philippines

There are many children waiting for forever families from the Philippines.  Children available for adoption range in age from toddlers to school aged children.  Many of the younger children have special medical needs, but many older children are physically healthy.  There are also many sibling groups of 2 or more children that so very much hope to be placed together into a family.
