Opportunities For Adopting an Older Child from China
Gladney was honored to partner with the China Center for Adoption Affairs in hosting a 2 day program for twenty-two older adoptable children living in The Beijing Second Social Welfare Institute. The children, all between the ages of 6 and 13, took part in a program to learn about family life in America. The CCAA and Gladney Center hope to find adoptive families for these children and the purpose of the camp program was to begin preparing the children for life in a family. The children enjoyed the program -- having fun, meeting new people, and volunteering to show-off some of their artistic and athletic talents.
We are hopeful that these children can continue on their journey of hope to be united with a forever family. If you are interested in learning more about these children, please make your

Special Needs Child Placement Program
The Gladney Center for Adoption offers a Special Needs Child Placement Program in China. Children with special needs are placed more quickly than those in the standard program.
Many of these children have a special needs status due to the fact that they are six years or older. Others are young children with medical conditions such as cleft lip, cleft palates, clubfoot, a deformed limb, congenital heart disease or Hepatitis B. Many of these conditions are mild and routinely correctable in the United States. Others are chronic and inoperable. Generally, children with very severe or life-threatening conditions are not referred for adoption.
Gladney remains committed to helping children and adoptive parents create bright futures through adoption. To learn more about adopting from China, please request one of Gladney's free, comprehensive Adoption Information Packets. Make your
