As Nepal reopens for international adoption placements in 2008, Gladney is excited to offer this country as an adoption option. Gladney staff has been travelling to Kathmandu to meet with officials from the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare as well as the Central Child Welfare Board (CCWB) and Visa officers from the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu. We are enthusiastic about the Nepalese government's renewed commitment to help the children of their country without families.
In Nepal, children are typically available for adoption due to poverty or because they have been born to an unwed mother. Nepal's program is an option for single women and married prospective parents.
For many people, stepping off a plane into Kathmandu is an exhilarating surprise to the senses. For prospective adoptive parents Kathmandu, Nepal is where your adoption journey will take you - to meet your child and complete the adoption process.
