Pathways Training Registration
We are very excited to offer Pathways Training to Gladney adoptive families that are adopting toddlers and school-aged children. This training has allowed our clinically trained Post Adoption & Client Services staff the opportunity to combine research-based treatment models for children who have endured trauma and stress, along with Dr. Purvis' Trust Based Relational Intervention Model, to develop very specific and targeted adoptive parent training.
- Pathways Training is a two-day training program offered several times each year. Families may attend Pathways at Gladney's Fort Worth, Texas campus.
- Families must satisfy their Pathways Training requirements before they can be approved to travel to complete their adoption.
Register for an Upcoming Training (New Beginnings families: Please do not register for Pathways UNTIL you have attended PAT training.)
THIS IS TRAINING IS FOR GLADNEY FAMILIES ONLY.
The training is intense and interactive to provide parents with a foundation of specific tools and strategies to use within their family. These strategies help to heal and empower the children while also allowing parents to access more productive and connecting parenting approaches. Our staff has spent two years developing this curriculum and training in an effort to meet the unique needs of families seeking to adopt older children.
We are doing everything in our power to make Pathways Training accessible to our adoptive families. In return, Gladney Center asks that parents be flexible with their availability and open-minded to learn about what older children need and the reasons why. From this place we hope that parents can reach to a higher level of guiding their child through the initial transition and on through the achievement and celebration of life milestones.
We look forward to seeing your family at one of our upcoming trainings! If you have specific questions about registering for upcoming Pathways Training, contact us via email.
