Your Teenager is Invited to Join Us for a Most Memorable Week in Bogota, Colombia!

Is your teen looking for an opportunity to help those less fortunate while creating lifelong bonds with other Gladney adoptees?

Gladney takes great pride in offering this incredible annual experience to share goodwill with others. The Gladney teen service trip is offered to Gladney Adoptees, ages 14 and older and will take place from July 8th - July 15th.

Under the direction of Gladney staff, our fast paced itinerary will include four love and labor filled days of volunteering at an orphanage named Fundacion Hogar San Mauriciones nestled against the gorgeous Andes mountains in Bogota, Colombia. This orphanage is home to more than 100 children ranging in age from babies to teens. Because Gladney's Humanitarian Aid efforts focus on vulnerable children throughout the world, Colombia offers many opportunities for Gladney teens to improve the lives of children living in Bogota and work in an orphanage with limited resources.
 
Your teen's days will be spent delivering educational lessons in a classroom setting in addition to playful afternoons outdoors with the children. New this year, two full days will create opportunities for cultural awareness and appreciating the great outdoors. Your first day in Bogota will include a cable car trip up a mountain with amazing views of the city with your trip culminating in an adrenalized, action packed day of white water rafting and zip lining.

The cost is $2,790 (per person), which includes airfare departing from Miami, lodging, meals, ground transportation, supervisory services from Gladney staff, and interpreters. You are responsible for booking your teen's travel to/from the Miami airport.

The trip application and $490 application fee is due March 19, 2012.

Through an online program, your teen will have the opportunity to raise money for the trip and the additional humanitarian aid we will provide.
