Annual Giving Specialist
About the Job:
The Annual Giving Specialist is responsible for managing donor programs, tracking fundraising efforts, and ensuring strong donor engagement. This role involves coordinating projects, analyzing data, and collaborating across departments to help the organization achieve its $4M+ fundraising goal. While prior fundraising experience is a plus, strong project management, organizational, and communication skills are essential. This position is full-time, exempt and in office, in our Fort Worth location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement donor engagement strategies in partnership with the Director of Development.
- Ensure donor communications align with Gladney’s brand, mission, and strategic plan.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Marketing/Communications, and Program teams to enhance fundraising efforts.
- Oversee donor outreach projects, implementing processes, managing budgets, tracking progress, and coordinating with external vendors.
- Create and distribute donor outreach materials with the Marketing/Communications team.
- Work with IT and Development teams to maintain accurate donor records, update reports, and refine mailing lists.
- Track key performance metrics using CRM tools, analyzing trends and suggesting improvements.
- Audit and update donor records to ensure accurate contribution tracking. • Improve donor retention and engagement by refining outreach and appreciation efforts.
- Expand and enhance the monthly donor program.
- Represent the organization at community networking opportunities.
- Assist with grant-related projects, including:
- Researching new funding opportunities.
- Assisting with grant applications and reporting.
- Maintaining digital records of grant-related activities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in project management or fundraising (or equivalent experience).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Comfortable working with data, reports, and CRM systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-focused.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Proven ability to manage projects effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
