Statistician (Part-Time)
About the Job
The Statistician will play a key role in supporting the design and delivery of high-quality research at Gladney. They will provide expert statistical advice to clinical development efforts, ensuring the timely and accurate execution of statistical strategies, designs, and analyses.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the research team to develop research designs and methodologies that ensure effective data collection and analysis.
- Gather and organize data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform advanced statistical analyses to uncover patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies.
- Partner with the research team to interpret findings, derive meaningful insights, and make predictions that enhance understanding of human behavior and mental processes.
- Prepare both oral and written reports to present research results.
- Design impactful data visualizations to clearly convey findings.
- Interpret results to support informed decision-making and contribute to improving the wellbeing of families and children in adoption.
- Provide ongoing support for research projects by offering data analysis expertise.
- Follow ethical guidelines and maintain participant and data confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization’s operational needs and contribute to the team’s overall success.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- A Master’s degree, at least one year of data analytics experience, and a preferred background in psychology.
- Proficiency in programming languages and statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, or similar tools).
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in research.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a talent for extracting actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
- High attention to detail in data collection and analysis processes.
- Effective time management skills to ensure timely project completion.
- Problem-solving abilities to address challenges in data collection and analysis.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research setting.
- Capacity to balance both team and individual responsibilities.
- Creative thinking with an innovative approach to statistical analysis.
