Once prospective families are ready to start their China International Adoption Process with Gladney, they will complete their adoption paperwork:
- Gladney Application
- Pathways Training
- Adoption Home Study
The adoption process in China is managed by a central authority, the China Center for Children’s Welfare and Adoption (CCCWA). Accredited agencies in the United States work directly with CCCWA to help you create your family through adoption.
Our China program staff will lead you through the process of putting together the documents required by the different authorities.
In the China Waiting Child program, your Gladney caseworker will help match your family by considering profiles of children currently available to be adopted. In this program your family can begin considering some profiles as soon as your adoption home study is complete. For other child profiles you may have to wait until your dossier has been submitted to CCCWA and you have received a "log-in-date". Please speak to a Gladney representative to find out current time frames for this adoption program.
Gladney staff is committed to assisting families interested in adopting from China. To learn more about adopting from China, please request one of Gladney's comprehensive Adoption Information Packets. Make your request on-line or by calling 817-922-6000.
